Linkless

I just dropped the [Links] section on the navigation bar for this site. I went in to drop BurningBird and looked over the list and realized how out of date it was. Too much work to keep it up to date so now I am just gonna let Google do the work, with the addition of the "related sites" link under [misc].

Follow-up on XHTML+RSS

Brad has followed up on why he thinks we still need RSS as a seperate file, which Jason responds to.

Brad also says:

An alternative to get "one happy feed" is to use the RSS XML to render your home page, using XSL-T or active code. Gets you to the same place by a different path...
Which I can reverse into another idea, publish the site with XHTML+RSS and provide the RSS 1.0 feed as an XSLT transformed version of the original page, a nice backward compatibility feature until news readers support XHTML+RSS...

Bye-bye BurningBird

Hard to believe but BurningBird is closing down her blog. Best of wishes Shelly.
