As you can tell I have been poking around the EFF site lately and I am a little disappointed. I expected to find message boards, blogs, irc channels, RSS feeds, etc. filled with national and regional information. I expected the entire pantheon of internet technology thrown at the task of building an infrastructure for a grass roots political network. What I found was a place to sign up for e-mail alerts and some on-line forms for mailing my congressional representatives.
Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) Director Karl Auerbach prevailed in his lawsuit against ICANN today, gaining access to records management had improperly withheld for more than 18 months. Rejecting ICANN's claim that it could impose vague and broad restrictions on Auerbach's access, Judge Dzintra Janavs ordered ICANN to provide the records within a week. [EFF Press Release]
