Last Post From Radio

Last Post From Radio.

Pamphlet is now complete enough for me to switch to it for my full-time blogging tool. To recap my history:

  • Originally started with http://austin.editthispage.com which was just a site for keeping track of releases of my Austin software project.
  • Paid the $40 to Userland for Radio and got the address: http://radio.weblogs.com/0103451/ in February 2002. Not a lot of mnemonic qualities to that URL.
  • Didn't like the built in news aggregator in Radio so I wrote my own, Aggie, in May 2002.
  • Paid the $50 to Cornerhost for an FTP only account and $8.99 to GoDaddy for the domain name and moved to:http://bitworking.org/ in February 2002.
  • Got sick and tired of working with buggy and hard to use software that restricted me to posting from just one computer. So I spent about a week-ends worth of time writing my own blogging tool, Pamphlet, and went live with it today August 7 2002.

What does this mean to you? Probably nothing, except if you are reading me in a news aggregator then you will have to subscribe to my new feed. Now if you were using Aggie RC4 it could pick up the redirect and change the subscription automatically without you ever noticing. Unfortunately Aggie RC4 isn't out yet because I've been spending too much time working on Pamphlet. Oh the irony.
